Neuroplasticity is a principle in neuroscience that optimize sand improves brain function, thus increasing workplace performance. There are keys to unlocking brain potential so that we perform at our best. Does fish oil actually help? What’s the problem with gluten? How much sleep is enough? How does stress impact learning and thinking? Is it possible to improve memory and problem solving? These are just a few of the questions we will answer in this session where we take a deeper look at how brain function impacts successes or failures in the workplace. Come take away action steps to improve brain function and gain a competitive edge in your career!

Andrea Pitman is the Executive Director and Founder of The Nectar Group. She has over 17 years of experience working with children, adults, and families through cognitive skills training, consulting, and teaching. Andrea received her education and teaching certification from Southwestern University. She has consulted with over 80 learning programs across the US to help improve client outcomes. With a rich background in education and neuroscience, she has always striven to pinpoint the root issues of learning challenges and create comprehensive plans of action to help clients achieve excellent results. She is particularly interested in integrative approaches to improve brain health and function and general wellbeing. She is currently completing her National Board Certification as an Integrative Health and Wellness Coach. She enjoys cooking, the arts, reading, listening to podcasts, and playing with her two cats, Paddington Bear and Sterling Fox.

Danni Gugel, M.Ed., Senior Director at The Nectar Group, Master Level Certified Cognitive and Academic Coach, Certified Teacher, Reading Specialist, Psychometrist, Certified Brain Injury Specialist, Andrew Weil Center for Integrative Medicine Certificate in Integrative Pediatric Neurology: ADHD and Autism

Danni Gugel is the Senior Director at The Nectar Group. She received her BA in English Education from Colorado State University and her Master’s in Education with an emphasis in Reading Intervention from Regis University. After 12 years in the field of education her priority is still helping every student love learning and reach their full potential. She continues to strive to grow in both the field of neuroscience and education to better support children and adults with traumatic brain injuries, learning challenges, or disabilities. Danni loves being able to present workshops to different communities to better support and enhance their resources and knowledge of how to improve cognitive function. Outside of work you can find her exploring local restaurants and hidden treasures, reading, and spending time with her dog Atticus!
