EAPs and EAP professionals can play an imperative role in providing education, screening and connecting the mother and/or family with professionals in the community that specialize in working with Perinatal Mood/Anxiety Disorders and Fetal Loss. EAPs and EAP professionals can be a first step to start the conversation by addressing the stigma, exploring their expectations, and exploring social support and treatment options.
Attendees will learn the different types of perinatal mood disorders, signs and symptoms, protective and risk factors, how to start the conversation, screening tools, evidence based treatments, and resources available to women, families, and professionals.
